"Ecospirituality is not a religion. Its a way of life."
Rev. Ahriana Platten is the Director and Co-Founder of the Colorado Ecospirituality Center (CEC). With her husband, Mark, Ahriana created CEC to serve people of all walks and faith traditions.
"When I was a little girl," says Ahriana, "My mom told me that God was in everything. She was right. No matter how you name the Divine Source - Creator, God or Goddess, Great Mystery or any other name - we all agree that this Source gave us a 'common ground' - the Earth. It makes sense that every plant, tree, mountain, river and creature would reflect the miracle of life and that each has wisdom to share. By engaging this wisdom, we find a path that leads us, inevitably, to each other. Through nature, we become whole."
Ahriana is an interfaith minister who holds a Master of Theology degree. She is a Certified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist recognized by the Association for Transpersonal Psychology and Hypnotherapy. As a Reiki Master/ Teacher and Pastoral Counselor, Ahriana uses transpersonal therapies to assist those who wish to make changes, connect with divine guidance, overcome phobias and habits, and create health and well-being in thier lives.
Ahriana teaches workshops, facilitates ceremonies, and carries the message of intentional living to people across the United States. Over the past twenty years, she has developed and facilitated a course in interfaith ministry, taught the ancient Hermetic and Alchemical Arts, and produced a variety of festivals and special events. She is presently completing her first book " Sacred Seasons ; a Course in Ecospirituality," with an expected release in the Spring of 2008.
